Good morning September. It's quiet here on the farm today - I just had a peer at the forecast, and although there has been a little rain, temps stay warm for the month, and it's a lovely time to stay - a little quieter now the schools have gone back, and we have couple price discounts when there are only two adults staying. We keep the lodges open until after October Half Term, then they have a little winter rest giving us a chance for any repairs and redecoration. The Deckhouse Cabin stays open all year round - a good one for New Year's Eve if you're quick!

- we've done a lot of these this summer!! Pre-covid, we only offered week stays during the summer holidays - that seems like another decade ago! This year we've offered plenty of two nights, three nights, four nights and tried to be as flexible as possible. Thank you to all the guests who have recycled responably, checked out on time, not dropped roll up ends in the dry grass, and left things nicely - it helps make the two night stays possible. 🙏

Sound on for the sweetness 🐤🐥. Although the school holidays are winding up - we continue farm tours for any guests staying who'd like to meet the animals. Our safari tents stay open until after October Half Term, and the Deckhouse Cabin stays open all year round

We're in the foothills of Exmoor National Park - the view from Bossington Lodge looks right on to it - not a bad view to while away the hours. And if you turn your head to the right - our lodges also look onto The Quantock Hills - also on our door step.

It's Minehead Bay Festival tomorrow! Lots of music, good food, art with East Quay, Watchet and lots, lots more - last year one of my highlights was Tai Chi on the beach. Great day out for all ages of family if you're looking for something to do! And you don't need a ticket, it's free!

Wishing all our followers a happy and peaceful Bank Holiday and for those staying on the farm, we hope you enjoy the car race track as much as Patrick does when no-one is looking!

Big changeover tomorrow and we look forward to welcoming new and returning guests. We don't offer a one night stay over the Bank Holiday - even though we've had lots of enquiries and offers for a one night! It's just not viable for us - cleaning and getting everything ship-shape for the incomers takes us ages, plus to get the most of a glamping stay, you really need more than 18 hours here. A stay at Middle Stone is all about slowing things down a bit, taking time to notice things - we have a lot of nature and wildlife here - even in these arid times. Spend some hours in a hot tub star gazing, making a puzzle with a cider or wine from our shop, or gather the family for monopoly (that can take hours!!) If you'd like a slow Bank Holiday on the farm, we have two units left for a 2 or 3 night stay - bookable until about 8pm tonight, when our website calendar closes. www.middlestonefarm.com

Piggy cooling station! Next farm tour is on Saturday morning when we will have close pig encounters - and alpacas, fat lambs and skitty chickens! We have two lodges available for the Bank Holiday if you'd like to spend it on the farm
