Firstly I want to thank all my customers over the past 4 months for following guidelines which allowed me to open and run a very successful B&B. At times it felt like I was also running a restaurant, I have never served so many evening meals!
Having read the guidelines for this second lockdown, I wanted to let you know that I will be able to remain open for anyone working in the area, on business or attending a funeral. Best wishes and stay safe.

Important information about your visit to the garden

Following the current government advice, we have decided to return to a booking system for garden visits. https://www.thegardenhouse.org.uk/events

While we have been strictly monitoring visitor numbers, returning to a booking system will provide increased clarity and reassurance for staff, volunteers and visitors alike. Hourly time slots are now available online, including for this weekend, and numbers are capped for each time slot.

Booking is highly recommended, and you will need to book by 3pm the day before you plan to visit. Please remember to “check out” your online basket even if you have a free entry option. You will need to show your confirmation email and membership card [if appropriate] for entry to the garden.

If you haven’t been able to book and there are spaces available, you may be allowed to visit the garden, but please be aware, if the slot is fully booked we will not be able to let you in. To avoid any disappointment, please do book in advance.

In an extra effort to help us monitor visitor numbers, we are temporarily removing the “tearoom only access” - the tearoom will now only be available for garden visitors. This is only a temporary measure, but it is important we keep an eye on how many people are visiting at any one time.

If you have a cream tea or afternoon tea pre-paid voucher from our recent crowdfunding campaign, and you would like to make a booking to redeem the voucher, please call our office on 01822 854 769 for further information.

We all need to do our bit to help stop the spread of the virus. We desperately don't want to close because we know the garden provides so much tranquillity in these extraordinary times.
