WOW… what a week it’s been! 🎉
Firstly, a huge welcome to all of our new followers — our social media has absolutely blown up over the last week and we’re so grateful for every single one of you! Thank you for following us, supporting us, and being part of the journey. We hope you enjoy following along with everything happening here at the MTI! ❤️
And secondly… we are celebrating our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of being open!!! 🥳🍻
Where has that time gone?!
5 years ago, the Brice family opened the Mary Tavy Inn Free House, and what an incredible 5 years it has been. Plenty of hard work has been put in the pub completely transforming it! There have been so many amazing memories, plenty of challenges along the way (thanks to constant rising costs and government changes 😅), but we truly wouldn’t be where we are today without all of you.
To all of our customers, locals, visitors, friends, and supporters — THANK YOU. Your support means everything to us.
We also want to say a massive thank you to our fantastic team for all of their hard work over the years. We are so lucky to have every single one of you, and together we really are the MTI family ❤️
For those who are new here, let us tell you a little bit about us…
The Mary Tavy Inn is situated in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park — a traditional countryside free-house pub offering a great selection of drinks, tasty home-cooked food, and comfortable B&B rooms for a relaxing stay.
Built in the 1600s, we are a spacious traditional inn located in the conservation area of Mary Tavy, with stunning views across the moors.
We offer four spectacular bed and breakfast rooms (including two dog-friendly rooms 🐾), perfect for both short and long stays, all with a cosy home-from-home feel.
During the warmer months, our popular Burger Bar opens in the beer garden, serving delicious burgers, sausages, and chips 🍔🌭🍟. Even if our restaurant is fully booked, the Burger Bar will be available throughout the summer!
We also offer FREE motorhome stopovers when you dine or drink with us 🚐
• Summer capacity: up to 5 motorhomes
• Winter capacity: up to 3 motorhomes

As many of you know, we are only a small pub, and all of our food is freshly cooked to order, so we really do recommend booking a table — even if you’d like to sit outside — to avoid disappointment.
We are also a dog-friendly pub 🐾, however we do not allow dogs in the restaurant area.
We show all live sports too! ⚽🏉🏏 We have a TV inside the pub area as well as an outdoor TV in the garden so you won’t miss a thing.
