Torquay’s seafront observation wheel will not return for the 2026 season after operators The Mellors Group confirmed they will not be bringing the attraction back this year.

Torbay Council said it explored a range of options with the company in an effort to secure the wheel’s return, but no agreement could be reached.

The wheel has become a well-known feature on the seafront in recent years and its absence is expected to disappoint many residents and visitors.
