Since we moved in, I've been dying to strip some of the render off of this beautiful old building. Not only to uncover the wonderful stone and brick work, but also to help with breathability in the older parts.

Nearly four years in and we uncovered our first side... We are so happy with what we discovered. Yes there's some infill and it's not perfect, but we think that's part of the building's long story and nothing to be hidden.

There's some restoration to do at the top (hence the scaffolding) and obviously repointing, something we'll get very good at I'm sure.

We also uncovered writing claiming that part of the building was built in the 14th century, it was exciting to discover!

Next will be some stone work on the front and back face.

We've also had a beautiful stone wall built in the back garden.

Rent an old converted pub with rooms in beautiful Worcestershire countryside over this Easter weekend! This is the only weekend we have available until mid summer so don't miss out.

We sleep up to 20 adults/children with nine ensuite rooms. The old stone bar is perfect for gathering with sofas, a log burner, bar and dining. Private catering is available - Anna's lasagne is always a hit, and the trusty full English.

The sun made a brief appearance and getting outside only filled me with excitement for the seasons ahead. We harvested everything leftover from planting last Autumn and actually produced normal sized carrots!

We've been in the thick of renovating our home over winter, but preparations now turn to getting ready to welcome a new wave of guests this year. We are already booked up for most of the year with exclusive use!

I am finding it increasingly difficult to keep Hanley house Instagram up to date. I will try my best as there is always something happening here ❤️

We need a house keeper/cook able to clean our BnB rooms and cook in the kitchen.

No need for a professional chef, just someone confident to make a cooked breakfast for our BnB guests at the weekend.

Up to two days a week for up to four hours- Thurs/Fri and Sat/Sun.

Above minimum wage with opportunity for progression. We are a small family run business who needs someone willing to muck in and work hard.

This weekend we saw some fantastic old cars in our car park due to the local motor rally. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all, especially our boys who were wide eyed every time one arrived! Thank you for staying with us, you were all lovely.
