Polly is England’s foremost tulip expert, and she will be visiting us for an exclusive masterclass exploring the art of growing tulips, with a special focus on enduring and naturalising species varieties.

Discover how to create beautiful, long-lasting displays, from bulb to bloom, ahead of the planting season.

Includes a planted terracotta pot, signed copy of The Tulip Garden, a delicious two-course garden-inspired lunch with w**e, and the opportunity to purchase Polly’s specially selected tulip bulbs.

10am–3pm to include lunch with w**e, tea and coffee and your own planted pot to take home.

A cosy bedroom at The Hyde. The perfect place for a lie-in on a bank holiday weekend.

We have availability for New Year at The Hyde from 31 December. Available for either a weekend or a week-long stay, The Hyde sleeps up to 20 guests and is the ultimate house for group celebrations.

Think long country walks, hot baths, open fires and plenty of space to settle in and enjoy time together. Dogs are welcome too.

Some of our favourite plants to have coped with everything summer 2026 has thrown at us.

It’s been an exceptionally hot summer, with very little rain and water in short supply, but these five plants have not only survived — they’ve thrived.

If you’re looking for resilient plants that can handle a hot, dry summer, these are five we’d definitely recommend.

Hummingbird hawk-moths descended on Netherwood in the recent heatwave. Remarkable little creatures, they migrate from Southern Europe and North Africa and can be seen in late summer. We had hundreds this year! Blink and you’ll miss them, but slowed down you can see them feeding on our Nepeta.
