As the evening sun casts its golden glow across Tenby, this remarkable view captures far more than a beautiful coastal landscape; it tells a story woven through centuries of faith, history and place.
The elegant and majestic 152 foot spire of St Mary's Church has long been a notable landmark for travellers throughout the ages, and rises proudly above the colourful harbour town, perfectly aligned with the distant lighthouse on Caldey Island, creating a striking visual connection between two of Pembrokeshire's most cherished landmarks.
The large, medieval St Mary's church has dominated the town since the 13th century, although a church has been present on this site since the Norman era.
Beyond the shimmering waters, Caldey has been a place of prayer and contemplation since the 5th century, and remains home to a community of Cistercian monks whose quiet devotion continues to this day.
Bathed in the warm reflections of the setting sun, the scene evokes a profound sense of peace and spirituality, where sea, sky and history seem to merge. It is a view that inspires reflection and wonder — and one that guests at Meadow Farm Campsite can admire each evening from the comfort of their own pitch.
