Richard - Has always been in the Hotel Industry
since leaving Pembrokeshire College in the 1980's having completed a Diploma in Hotel Management.

Richard has worked with many National Hotel Chains and has also been a General Manager of 5 Hotels prior to the "Family Purchase" of The Albany. Lisa - Like Richard, Lisa has always been in
the Hotel Industry after successfully completing a BTEC Hotel Receptionist & Travel & Tourism Course at Coalville College in Leicestershire. Lisa has held many Front of House Management
Positions and has also been a joint General Manager with Richard whilst in Kent. To add to the Slate Family there is also Rhian & Morgan our children. Areas we have worked:

Mumbles, Loughborough, Lichfield, East
Midlands Airport, Harrogate, Chester,
Lincoln, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Hadlow,
Tonbridge & Cardiff. Janet & Brian

To assist looking after the day to day running of the hotel that is currently looking after local people that are being temporarily housed by Pembrokeshire County Council. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in either a hospitality or care setting have excellent communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised within a small team.
This is a live in position and the main duties involve- guest welfare, housekeeping, kitchen, general maintenance, new bookings, arrivals and everything involved in running the business day to day. This involves shift work and also being in call during evenings and overnight.
Salary includes live in accommodation.

Richard has been busy painting the Hotel. Scaffolding has now been taken down off the front and the scaffolding on the side is being moved down to the final section next Monday. We are currently full with a private contract until at least the end of September.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our FB Friends a Happy New Year. 2020 has been very challenging however there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are looking forward to welcoming you all back in 2021.

Today we would be traditionally welcoming our coach party guests down to stay with us for 5 days over Christmas and as we all know this is not possible this year and we will miss our guests (which always include regulars who have become friends).
This year we are in a Welsh National Lockdown however we remain open throughout this period to key/essential workers and vulnerable guests. We currently have a number of temporary homeless guests that will be with us all over Christmas and into 2021 and we will continue to work with the Council to assist with this vital service over the coming days, weeks and months.
Whilst we are not able to accommodate our Coach and Leisure trade guests currently we are extending our hospitality to those that are most in need and providing them a warm, friendly environment.
Merry Christmas to all of of our Facebook Friends and we cannot wait to welcome you back to The Albany at some point in 2021 xx

During this uncertain time for the Hospitality and Tourism Businesses we are continuing to invest and make improvements. We are currently fully redecorating 4 of our 23 rooms and these will be completed within the next fortnight.
Thank you to everyone for their continued support and we look forward to welcoming you back.

As you maybe aware new restrictions come into place on Friday 4th December throughout Wales which means that Restaurants, Bars etc.. will be closed by 6pm and no alcohol is permitted to be sold (to be reviewed December 17th).
These rulings also apply to Hotels however kindly note that we welcome you to consume takeaways etc.. in your rooms during this period.
Breakfast will be served as usual in our Restaurant and please be assured that we have strict Covid procedures throughout the hotel to keep both yourselves and ourselves as safe as is possible.
We look forward to welcoming you to Tenby and thank you for your continued support.

We are delighted to learn of breaking news this morning of the vaccine being rolled out from as early as next week and look forward to the opportunities that this will bring to us all.

Since our 'Welsh Firebreak' business has been steady and we are hopeful that this will continue over the winter months ahead. Thinking of our Facebook friends from England and we hope that you are all keeping safe and well during your second lockdown and we hope that many of you will escape being put into Tier 3 particularly so close to Christmas.
