Some dishes deserve their own moment, and our pies have definitely earned theirs.

We’ve had such fantastic feedback recently, from guests telling us they’re some of the best pies they’ve ever had, to visitors from overseas saying they only wish they could take one home with them.

Our chef is very proud of them, and rightly so.

So this post is simply a little appreciation post for the pies. If you haven’t tried one yet, now’s your sign.

And just so there’s no confusion, yes, they are served with all the proper sides. This photo is simply giving the pie its well-deserved moment in the spotlight.

We’re growing the Little Silver team.

We’re looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join us at Little Silver Country Hotel in Tenterden.

This is a hands-on role for someone reliable, detail-focused and proud of keeping standards high. You’ll be helping to prepare guest bedrooms, maintain our public areas, replenish supplies, report any maintenance issues and support the wider team when needed.

We’re looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, good time management and a strong eye for detail. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but it isn’t essential.

As with any hospitality role, flexibility is important, and weekend availability is essential.

In return, we offer a competitive salary based on experience and a friendly, supportive working environment.

A little change to our opening days.

From Monday 26th October, our restaurant will be closed to the general public on Mondays and Tuesdays.

But don’t worry, you can still pop in and enjoy a coffee, cake or something from the bar on both days.

Our Curry Night is also moving to Thursdays, joining our ever popular Steak Night, so Thursdays are officially becoming our night for a little something extra.

We’ll be open as usual for breakfast, lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday.

Our Little Monsters Family Afternoon Tea is officially underway, with availability still remaining throughout the October half term.

It’s all about giving families something fun to do together. A chance to get out of the house, enjoy a little Halloween treat and make an afternoon of it with the children.

Running from 17th to 31st October, 12 noon to 5pm, children can enjoy a Babyccino or Baby Choc, Halloween-shaped sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, plus sweet treats. Adults can enjoy the same Halloween-inspired afternoon tea with tea or coffee.

Up to 6 years: £10
Ages 6–12: £15
Ages 13+ and adults: £24

Dietary requirements can be catered for, just let us know when booking.

So if you’re looking for a family-friendly half-term activity in Tenterden, bring your Little Monsters along and enjoy a Halloween afternoon together.

A HUGE STEP FORWARD FOR LITTLE SILVER. 🥂

We’re incredibly excited to share that planning permission has officially been approved for our new spa and wellness facilities at Little Silver Country Hotel.

The plans include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and dedicated treatment facilities, creating a completely new way to enjoy Little Silver.

And this isn’t something that will only be available to hotel guests. Our ambition is for the new facilities to be open to the general public too, giving our local community the opportunity to enjoy the spa right here in St Michaels, Tenterden.

We’re currently looking towards starting the project in spring 2027, and this next chapter represents so much more than a new building.

It’s about continuing to invest in Little Silver, creating new opportunities, growing our team to around 21 jobs, and securing the future of the hotel as a destination in its own right. A place where you can stay, eat, celebrate and, in the future, relax and unwind at our very own on-site spa.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but having planning approved is a huge milestone and one we’re incredibly excited to finally share with you.

Join us on Friday 6th November for a full evening of ABBA, Greek-inspired food, dancing and feel-good fun at Little Silver Country Hotel.

We’ll be joined by Bjorn This Way, bringing a live ABBA tribute packed with the songs, energy and nostalgia that make these nights so much fun.

From 17th to 31st October, our Little Monsters Family Afternoon Tea is taking over Little Silver from 12 noon to 5pm.

Children can enjoy a Babyccino or Baby Choc, alongside Halloween-shaped sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, plus a selection of sweet treats. Adults can tuck into the same Halloween-inspired afternoon tea with tea or coffee.
