Today we’re celebrating and honouring the vital role bees and pollinators play in our ecosystems and on our plates.
Spring is a bustling season in the hive: queens lay, broods expand, and the colony hums with life. On warmer days, our bees forage early blossoms - willow, cherry, blackthorn, dandelion, and nearby oilseed r**e - gathering the pollen and nectar that fuel this crucial growth.
Even in spring’s abundance, a grey day reminds us just how precious every drop of nature’s sweetness truly is. We’re proud to work with Martin , who keeps our Chew Valley bees thriving and buzzing with happiness.
Guests wandering our rewilded grounds might even catch a glimpse of them…
