Nestled near the local lakes and nature reserve in Thatcham, one of the oldest continually inhabited settlements in England - our Award Winning coffee is small batch hand-roasted to order, this ensures it loses none of its original flavour and maintains a richer fuller taste for longer. Every single coffee bean reflects our commitment to a sustainable business and our direct trade partnerships wit

h our farmers. We only use speciality grade beans, which have cleaner more distinctive flavours than cheaper commercial coffees, and are traceable to the skilled farmers and their farms across the world. These beans are carefully roasted to produce select flavours to suit a wide range of styles and tastes.

🚧 A little road closure update… ☕️
Lower Way is currently closed for Thames Water works, which is rather inconvenient given that we’re, well… on Lower Way. 🙃

But don’t worry, we are still open and you can still get to us from the Thatcham side. If you’re coming from Newbury, you’ll just need to take a diversion around the closure.

For those who haven’t been in for a while, we are open Wednesday to Saturday:

☕️🧁Celebrating our collaboration with - a match made in heaven! And we can confirm the cake is totally delicious!

We were lucky enough to have them visit our roastery a few months ago for a promotional photoshoot. It was great fun having the team here and they were kind enough to leave behind a generous amount of cake and treats... which naturally we paired with numerous cups of coffee over the following days.

📣 PROTECT THE BEANS!

Did you know:
Freshly roasted coffee is full of CO₂. After roasting, the beans slowly release this gas in a process called degassing. Most of it happens in the first few days, but coffee continues to release small amounts of gas for weeks.

The biggest enemy of fresh coffee isn’t CO₂, it’s oxygen.

Oxygen reacts with the coffee’s oils and flavour compounds, causing flavours to fade and turning a vibrant coffee into something flat and stale.

That’s why a container like an Airscape is so useful. By pushing out excess air and reducing oxygen exposure, it helps protect the delicate flavours created during roasting while allowing the coffee to continue naturally degassing.

🌿 New Coffee Release: Costa Rica Coope Dota 🇨🇷

We're excited to welcome our latest single origin to the lineup: Costa Rica Coope Dota.

Grown high in the Tarrazú region, this coffee is a beautiful example of why Costa Rica continues to produce some of the world's most celebrated coffees.

Expect a clean, vibrant cup with notes of elderflower and melon, balanced with a sweet syrupy finish. Whether you're brewing filter or espresso, this is a coffee that's easy to enjoy every day.

The forests surrounding the Coope Dota region are bursting with life, home to an incredible diversity of mammals and birds, from curious three-toed sloths to dazzling hummingbirds... although we've heard it's the hummingbirds that are especially fond of our new Costa Rica single origin.
