Join us on 11th September for an evening under the stars watching The Greatest Showman 🎪

This film was made for the big screen and even better under the grandeur of Thornbury Castle at night. This will be a ticketed event, with a BBQ, refreshments, and snacks available.

An original musical inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum, starring Hugh Jackman. Barnum was a visionary who rose from nothing to create the “Greatest Show on Earth”, a spectacle and celebration of his larger-than-life imagination that captivated audiences around the globe.

Gates open 7pm for film to start at 7.50pm. BYO Tickets £15.00 each (bring your own seats or blankets). What’s more - if you want to make the occasion even more special we are offering 10% off all overnight stays on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th September, simply use MOVIENIGHT as the code when booking a room.

A perspective of the castle from the top of the Tower where you can clearly see the original stone wall which stretches the perimeter of the grounds - over 500 years old and still marking the boundaries of the castle.

You can also see the different zones within the garden from the Privy Garden in the foreground, followed by the smaller rose and herb gardens and then onto the Goodly Garden at the back - a place to relax and unwind and where some of our wedding ceremonies are held.

The views stretch for miles across the Gloucestershire countryside and you’ll also see a glimpse of one of the original ornate Tudor chimneys which we’re lucky to still have and is thought to be the oldest in the UK.

Ease into Sunday evening with an elegant blend of live music, exceptional food, and local flavours in the historic surroundings of Thornbury Castle. Enjoy a relaxed BBQ and a special gin bar in partnership with local distillery 6 O'clock Gin.

As the sun begins to set, unwind to the soulful acoustic sounds of Taylor Latham, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable evening with friends and family. A wonderfully relaxed Sunday, with a touch of castle luxury ✨
