The George Moniaive

The George Moniaive Traditional, cosy family run pub in the vibrant, picturesque village of Moniaive.

It has been operating as an Inn since the mid-1600s when it was an ideal staging point on the road from east to west. It has a long-established reputation as a busy small community pub in this very picturesque village on the old road from Dumfries to Ayr. There is a traditional bar with an open fire. There is a beer garden to the rear of the property which enjoys panoramic views of the local hills

Accommodation will be unavailable for the 2023/24 season due to undertaking repairs.

We will be showing the Scotland v Morocco match on Friday.

No reservation list, just turn up.

We do ask:
No dogs, drugs or drunks.

We will have a ‘No Dogs’ rule on Friday. This is throughout the building and garden.
Large numbers are expected for the football matches and we do not want to move people who are comfy, once they begin.
