Lovely to see the bees enjoying the rhododendrons, while the broom fills the garden with its delicious scent. The garden has become too friendly to wildlife, the deer are enjoying the young hostas, while we try to keep the slugs at bay and a family of otters enjoy foraging in the pond!

Wildlife Cruises - Beginning May

Our Wildlife Cruises offer a chance to experience the waters around Stroma or the Duncansby Stacks from the sea — weather and tide dependant on which area we explore.

Departing from John O' Groats, these trips take you through the Pentland Firth, where strong tides shape both the coastline and the wildlife that lives here.

Along the way, you may see seabirds along the cliffs, seals hauled out on skerries, and a constantly changing marine environment.

This is not a fast or crowded trip, but a small group experience designed to allow time to observe, learn, and appreciate the surroundings.

Wildlife Cruises begin in May.
