Sunrise at The Granary Lodge.

Five years ago today we welcomed our first guests to The Granary Lodge. Our guests have experienced many a wonderful sunrise and sunset and a few Northern Lights.

NIGHT PORTER POSITION

The Granary Lodge is a luxury guest house with ten bedrooms situated in the grounds of The Castle of Mey.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Night Porter with the main responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of the premises and guest welfare between 10 pm and 7 am.

Duties will include maintaining the cleanliness of the main reception building, vacuuming and mopping floors.

Are you celebrating Robert Burns Today?

In Celebration of Robert Burns the great Scottish Bard, we are looking at some of his poetry.

We have selected "The Primrose" because of the Scottish Primrose, (Primula scotica) the county flower of Caithness.

This lovely little purple primrose can only be found in Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney. The primrose can be see growing not far from The Granary Lodge at Dunnet Head and along the coastline.

The Castle, Gardens, Visitor Centre and The Granary Lodge are favourites among visitors to the area and we look forward to another busy tourist season.

We currently have several part-time seasonal hospitality vacancies available.

If you are interested in working with a friendly team in a beautiful location from the beginning of May until the end of September, we would like to invite you to call us for an informal chat to discuss some of our employment opportunities.

As a flexible employer we have positions available working 2 to 5 days per week, depending on your circumstances and how you manage your work/life balance.

Our friendly team pride themselves on always offering excellent customer service and working well as part of a dedicated team. While hospitality experience is preferred, it is not essential as training will be provided for all roles.

Due to location transport is essential.
