Carry Farm

****LODGE AVAILABILITY: 11TH JULY *****

Carry Farm is very much a family affair. Our lodges were designed by my architect dad, built by Derek and filled with beautiful things made at Carry Farm.

We are delighted that my niece not only has some of her work in the lodges, including some of her earliest print on paper, but that this summer Eve has an exhibition ‘Transit’ at AnTobarAndMullTheatre starting on the 11th July.

We have one week left in one of our lodges also starting on the 11th July, the perfect opportunity to be immersed in Eve’s work followed by a trip further west to Mull, for an island adventure to see her work amongst the landscapes that inspire it.

Quentin is looking a little worried, and rightly so. Perhaps not the best day for him to remember!

However, like most medicines, it is all over before he even noticed.

The playpark at Carry Farm is currently framed by the white blossom of our wild cherry trees, so bright it almost looks like snow against a clear blue sky.

Children love having their own space here, with the beach just down the track for treasure hunts along the shore, and the woodland behind, perfect for building dens and letting imaginations run wild.

And once the blossom has blown from the branches, the trees keep on giving, ripening into the most delicious edible cherries, just within reach of little fingers. Cherry juice will linger around their lips, a tell tale sign of a successful forage!
