Noon Cregg. CIC Veterans Retreat. To understand a veteran. You really need to be one. This is why I set up Noon Cregg Veterans Retreat There’s a fire pit. Or you can have a fire by on your pitch.

So we can keep warm outside and tell a storey or two.

Turn to Starboard (based in Falmouth) are currently delivering a series of 5-day sailing retreats designed for female veterans living with complex trauma. They secured multi-year funding back in 2024 from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to run a project called Vitamin Sea, which was created specifically to support women who have experienced sexually inappropriate behaviours including r**e and sexual assault.

They have been working with Salute Her Uk to deliver this project, but there are two retreats later this year (dates below) that Salute Her UK are unable to join. Therefore, they are looking further afield to ensure this opportunity is offered to any women who might benefit.

Drawing on all the powerful healing benefits of spending time on the water, these retreats are designed to promote mindfulness and relaxation, and to facilitate post-traumatic growth. They also serve as a gentle introduction to sailing, but there is no expectation for participants to engage with any sail training unless they have an interest. They are running these with all-female crews to ensure women feel safe and comfortable.

Moving forward, they will be offering women-only sailing opportunities throughout 2027

W/C 21st September - for a group of 8 women (onboard our tall ship, Spirit of Falmouth)

W/C 28th September - for a group of 6 women (onboard our yacht, Angels Share)

Sad news. Noon Cregg’s truck has been playing up over the past few weeks since coming back from wales on a visit to Eve OF ARUN. Our Boat.
We’ve spent a good few quid on narrowing f d own the issues with idling. This morning before heading back over to Wales to do a bit more on the boat. Things went a bit wrong. High pressure fuel pumps knackered, the starter motor solenoid went. So we tried to rebuild it with bits from the spares truck. It e worked for a few turns then the bendix clutch went, and whilst underneath her we found lots of chewed wires.
So we are now unable to go anywhere, which is a first in 6 years.
So prayers are needed in order to raise funds for a new truck.
A massive thanks for one of my Directors. James Ford.
Diesel engineer for his time and patience , his efforts in trying to sort out our truck.
Safe journey to wales mate. 👍😉
