We are delighted to announce that the Ulva Ferry will open to visitors from Monday 26 April.

Opening hours:

The ferry will be operating Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 on demand April to October (restrictions permitting).
Running on Sundays June until the end of August.

Face coverings:

Due to the size of the ferry boat, all passengers must wear a face covering when crossing.
Those unable to wear a face covering will be required to show a Scottish Government (or other nations equivalent) exemption card, otherwise they will not be permitted to cross.
These measures are in place for the safety of passengers, the ferryman and island residents.

Purchasing tickets:

The Ulva Ferry is equipped to take contactless card payments, as well as Apple Pay and Android Pay. To minimise physical contact, we would be very grateful if all tickets could be purchased using a card or mobile device.
If you are only able to pay using cash, we would please request that you pay using exact change.

Check in Scotland app:

To assist with NHS Scotland's Test and Protect contact tracing, the Ulva Ferry has a QR code that should be scanned on arrival and used in line with the Check-in Scotland app.
We recommend downloading the app before travel. Further information is available here:

Hi all. As you know this year has been a tough one for us all. We did not distribute paper brochures this year due to the Covid situation and lack of potential tourism. We are now getting ready for next years edition. Every advert in 2020 brochure has been done free and published on issuu for people to see. Anyone who did pay your advert will be free next season and any new interest to promote the island and surrounding areas would be greatly appreciated. I will be in touch with the contacts I have over the next couple of weeks but please feel free to message regarding new businesses. Bring on 2021!

Its with great regret that due to social distancing Explore Mull will not be opening for the rest of this season as it would be impractical due to the size of the trailer and space we have inside.
We will however endeavor to answer peoples questions by email.
Fingers crossed 2021 should be good to go.
