In January 2014, the Mackay family, local to Tongue Village bought Tongue Youth Hostel from the SYHA. We have renamed the business "Kyle of Tongue Hostel & Holiday Park" and we intend to continue to run the building successfully as a Hostel. However, we have a vision of developing the Hostel's surrounding land into a Holiday Park with top quality facilities for camping, caravans and motorhomes as

well as providing alternative accommodation options. We look forward to seeing you year after year where you can monitor our progress as our vision comes to fruition.

Caisteal Bharraich (Castle Varrich) near , in , June 1992. The castle is believed to have been built on the site of an earlier Norse tower. It was the ancient seat of Clan Mackay.

Matchplay completed. Started in May, sponsored by Kyle of Tongue Hostel and Holiday Park (🙏 Steve and Carol), 16 competitors, most games going the distance including today’s final. Winner Martin Mackay pictured with trophy and runner up Neil MacRae joined by his fan club, Magnus and Vaila. 👏👏Perfect day for golf, just look at that flag.

***LAST CHANCE TO BOOK FEIS SPACE FOR NEXT WEEK. ****

We have been blown away by the terrific response and amount of participants already signed up to our summer Fèis this year! There are still limited spaces available for all age groups. We have toddler group, P1-3 group and P4 and up group spaces still available. All classes will take place in Bettyhill and there are still a couple of seats left on the bus from Melvich and the bus from Tongue.

If you still need to sign your child up, we will still be accepting bookings for the next few days but will close it off at the weekend in order to finalise our classes.
