Retreat to Cornwall Welcome to Tredis House Barn – a dog friendly holiday retreat hidden in the Cornish countryside. Mark and Jane are the fortunate owners of Tredis House Barn.

This is our retreat when we're able to visit the UK, and in between we want you to enjoy it too! Our home is a converted stone-built barn on 2 floors, tucked into a little hamlet called Tredis, near Sheviock in south-east Cornwall. It's off the beaten path and therefore very peaceful, with lovely country walks, only a short drive to coastal villages, beaches, towns and pubs. The house has everythi

ng you need, including a wood burner for winter. There are 2 king bedrooms, one with shower ensuite and the other next to a bathroom with bath and shower. French doors open from the lounge onto a large garden, and onto a private courtyard from the downstairs bedroom. We're in the process of turning a downstairs room into a snug for those who need time out, and we've made sure there's a good broadband service. A Cornish Gem .... The Rame Peninsula is a place that can be enjoyed at any time of year, with a relaxed mix of coastal views, countryside, and historic villages. Its peaceful setting and natural beauty make it an inviting destination whether you are visiting for a short break, a walk, or simply to unwind.
The area also has a strong sense of history. Well-known estates such as Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, Port Eliot House and Gardens, and Antony House reflect the peninsula’s long-standing connections to local families and traditions. Across the peninsula, many villages have kept their traditional charm and community feel.
Nature plays a big part in the appeal of the area, with sandy beaches, quiet creeks, rolling farmland, and plenty of opportunities for walking. The South West Coast Path runs through the peninsula, offering enjoyable coastal routes and wide views across Whitsand Bay.
The nearby seaside villages of Cawsand and Kingsand sit in a sheltered bay and are popular places to spend time. They offer a welcoming mix of pubs, cafés, restaurants, shops, and galleries, and regular ferry services make it easy to travel between the peninsula and Plymouth.

Tredis House Barn is nestled in one of England’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at the gateway to the wild and beautiful Rame Peninsula ~ a true retreat from it all 🍂
There are country walks from outside the door, the beaches of Whitsand Bay are within easy reach by car, and our local fishing town, lovely Looe, is a leafy 20 minute drive away 🐟
Dogs welcome too! 🐾🐾
