A Place for All Seasons ..........The Rame Peninsula is a place that can be enjoyed at any time of year, with a relaxed mix of coastal views, countryside, and historic villages. Its peaceful setting and natural beauty make it an inviting destination whether you are visiting for a short break, a walk, or simply to unwind.
The area also has a strong sense of history. Well-known estates such as Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, Port Eliot House and Gardens, and Antony House reflect the peninsula’s long-standing connections to local families and traditions. Across the peninsula, many villages have kept their traditional charm and community feel.
Nature plays a big part in the appeal of the area, with sandy beaches, quiet creeks, rolling farmland, and plenty of opportunities for walking. The South West Coast Path runs through the peninsula, offering enjoyable coastal routes and wide views across Whitsand Bay.
The nearby seaside villages of Cawsand and Kingsand sit in a sheltered bay and are popular places to spend time. They offer a welcoming mix of pubs, cafés, restaurants, shops, and galleries, and regular ferry services make it easy to travel between the peninsula and Plymouth.
