A little bit of family news from the Edgcumbe Arms.

The Who'd Have Thought It Inn is joining us as our new sister pub.

There is something rather lovely about this one.

The Edgcumbe Arms sits here at Mount Edgcumbe, while the Who’d sits over at St Dominick, just up the river a stones throw from Cotehele. Two proper Cornish country pubs, both surrounded by the history, landscape and communities that make this part of Cornwall so special.

We are still digging into the exact historic links between the Who’d, Cotehele and the wider Edgcumbe story, but even without overstating it, the connection is very real and very natural.

More importantly, both pubs share the same idea of what a pub should be.

A proper welcome. Good food. Good beer. Dogs, muddy boots, locals, visitors, fires in winter, outside tables in summer and people being looked after properly.

And from the off, Edgcumbe loyalty cards will work at both pubs.

So if you are already part of the Edgcumbe family, you now have another proper Cornish country pub waiting for you over at St Dominick.

We are very proud to welcome the Who’d Have Thought It into the family.

Two pubs. Two communities. One very good excuse to explore a bit more of Cornwall. 🍻

A rather special midweek coming up at The Edgcumbe Arms. 🌊✨

We’ve got the carvery running as usual on Wednesday, before Plymouth’s British Firework Championships light up the Sound on Wednesday and Thursday evening.

With the solar eclipse also taking place on Wednesday, it’s shaping up to be a pretty memorable couple of days.🌝🌚

If you fancy making an evening of it, come and settle in at the Edgcumbe, grab a drink or something to eat, and enjoy the views across the water. It’s a pretty special place to sit and watch everything happening across the Sound, and we’ll be enjoying the evening with a few drinks, good food and hopefully some spectacular skies.

We’d love to see you. 🍻🌅🎆
