A headland with history:

Perched high on the windswept cliffs of Rame Head, Cornwall, St Michael’s Chapel is a hidden gem in Cornwall’s ‘Forgotten Corner’. This tiny stone chapel dates back to the 14th century, but its roots go even deeper—built on the site of an earlier Celtic hermitage. It was officially licensed for Mass in 1397, and over the centuries it’s seen it all: monks, mariners, and even military lookouts during the Spanish Armada and WWII! Restored in 1882, it still stands proud, keeping watch over Whitsand Bay. A must-visit for history buffs, hikers, and anyone chasing dramatic coastal views while they surf.
