In March 2023 we took the difficult decision to close our much loved hotel here at Meadfoot Bay. For a while it looked as though new owners would pick up the baton, but alas that was not to be. So last July we made another big decision. To turn the clock back almost 100 years and return the hotel back to its original raison d'être. We hope you like the result...

We'd like to thank first and foremost every member of the team who have contributed to making the Bay what it was. We'd also like to thank the guests who also in their own and equally important way made Meadfoot such a fun place to stay. What the future holds we are not yet sure but in the meantime we wish you well for the future and very much hope our paths will cross again.

Thank you for your generous words Catherine. It's lovely to know the little touches don't go unnoticed as well our great team here at the Bay. As for the food, well with Chef Callum he simply never gives up trying to surprise and delight at every opportunity. From breakfast to dinner and at lunchtimes too with our new assiettes menu. Were sorry to say but dieting at the Bay isn't really recommended ;-)!

Of all the days of the year It's somehow extra special that people chose to share their day with us. Mind you no washing up afterwards might have something to do with it!. Our story

Just a two minute stroll from beautiful Meadfoot Beach and a short walk from Torquay harbour, the Meadfoot Bay Hotel offers a choice 15 bedrooms ranging from Classic doubles to our beautiful Suites, both of which feature their own terraces. Our restaurant Brasserie at the Bay, which offers some of the best dining in town, attracts a very strong following from both locals and guest alike. The modern European menu is a celebration of the local produce from sea and land cooked, with passion by Chef Callum Tasker. The brasserie is open evenings from 6.00pm to 10.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday, with last food orders taken at 9.00pm and Sundays 12.00pm - 3.30pm. Our bar menu is available seven days a week. Foodies will no doubt also appreciate the reputation we have gained for serving a great breakfast! Definitely not to be missed and a great way to start your day, whether your visiting us for business or pleasure. For all our food offerings the emphasis is very much on using local sourced ingredients wherever possible, cooked to order with love.

Our guests also benefit from free parking on site and free Wi-Fi internet throughout the property and a concierge service too. Last but not least, a warm welcome is guaranteed!
