We’re fortunate when the weather is this extreme that we can offer comfortable seating in the shade from midday onwards as the shadow creeps over the forecourt so if you still want to enjoy the outside vibe with a great view, without getting scorched come and see Ed. Nothing nicer than a nice glass or two of something cool to watch the world go by at a slightly slower pace.

We had a lovely day yesterday welcoming patrons onto the forecourt once again for hot & cold,alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, homemade cakes & bakes scones and ice creams. Remember you can sit in to eat/drink or take away.

Ed’s planning to open later this afternoon 5pm ish, then we’ll be open until 4pm tomorrow, as he’s had a non stop few weeks and we’re nearly full in the hotel from Tuesday onwards for a week. Thank you to everyone that visited and kept the till ringing and some guests who popped in to see us who stayed with us 10 years ago, who we hope to see more regularly now their family have moved back into the area. We are touched you thought of us.
As usual Kate is being kept busy out the back processing bookings and finding ways to safely bake one armed, following her stroke.

We fully appreciate its hard economically for everyone at the moment whether you are a youngster trying to find a job, parent trying to make ends meet, consumer or business owner. Hard decisions are having to be made on a daily basis. Whereas many would like to buy or support local it’s not always possible. Whilst we fully appreciate time is money we would ask everyone try and do the following which costs nothing apart from a little time
