Vicky tried our new American style pancakes this morning, safe to say she enjoyed them.

+ We had an absolutely amazing stay here. Alex and Stacey are so welcoming, chatty and are always on hand if you need anything. We have never stayed somewhere that has felt so personal, it is like staying with friends! Parking was easy and the room was lovely, spacious and clean. We had breakfast for our last morning and it was absolutely delicious. We loved that you can pick what you want on a menu the night before- highly recommend the pancakes! We are already planning another stay here in the future. Thank you Alex and Stacey!*

Please take the time to watch this!
This guy has been staying at our b&b for the last week, he travels around the UK (and sometimes abroad) visiting seaside towns and other holiday destinations and records a beautiful video for YouTube for each place! He has so many videos to choose from that I have found myself sitting here for hours watching them, (I should be working! 😬) there's something quite mesmerising and relaxing about how he films it.
He shows it in such great detail, we even saw things that we didn't know were there!!

+ Such an amazing stay with the best and most professional B&B owners I've ever met.
The rooms are fantastic, the wifi is just lightning fast so perfect for business people who need rapid internet, and the breakfast is award winning and enough to get you going for the day. Free parking in the large car park on site, a lovely quiet neighbourhood really handy for getting around Torquay and other places like Paignton, Brixham, Dartmouth etc.

Fantastic customer service - honestly just the best.

Happy Friday everyone!! The sun is shining and Heathcliff House is full this weekend!!
If you've stayed at HH before then you will know that I make cakes/biscuits etc a couple of times a week for our guests to enjoy, today we have Fifteens!!
They always go down a treat!

The recipe is-

15 digestive biscuits
15 glacé cherries
15 marshmallows
200ml condensed milk
Deseccated coconut for covering

-blend the biscuits in a food processor or smash with a rolling pin
-chop the cherries and marshmallows
-mix together with the condensed milk
-place cling film on the worktop, lightly cover with coconut
- tip the mixture on and roll into a sausage shape and wrap in the cling film
-leave for 6 hours or overnight in the fridge and cut into 15 pieces!!

What a weekend of beautiful weather coming up!!!

The latest GFS model really ramps up the heat this coming weekend.

We will likely see a breakdown of sorts either on Sunday or into the start of next week, however, models keep pushing the breakdown back with the heat continuing perhaps into next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Friday see's widely mid-high twenties to low thirties and by Saturday many parts of England pushing 30c or higher.

Then on Sunday, well look away now if heat isn't for you.. The latest outputs suggesting mid 30's possible in some parts.

For me when it starts hitting 34-36c, that's a bit high. Our hot weather in the UK isn't really comfortable, unlike when you're abroad!

36c though, wow, if some of the models are correct, that's some temperature for June! As things stand, the all time June record of 35.6c could be at risk.

I'll keep you updated, I hope when a breakdown does occur, it's a thundery one haha!

Well this is a new one....South West Sardine Festival.
We have a free car park for our guests, there is a bus stop right outside with the number 12 bus taking you right to Brixham Harbour for only £3!

The English Riviera Airshow is next weekend !!
