⚠️ Please note that as from next Monday (28/09) part of the promenade section of Meadfoot Beach will be closed off during the week for essential repairs. It will not affect weekends. The work is expected to take approximately 10 weeks ⚠️

We’re carrying out essential repairs to sea defences at Meadfoot Beach following damage caused by Storm Ingrid earlier this year.

From Monday 28 September, the western section of the promenade next to chalets 1 to 30 will be closed during the week to allow the works to be carried out safely. Access will be restored at weekends.

Beach users can still access the beach via the slipway or by using the steps behind the first block of chalets at upper promenade level. Throughout these works, the beach itself will remain open as normal, as will Meadfoot Beach Café and Above Water.

The repair works are expected to begin on 5 October and take around ten weeks, subject to weather and tidal conditions. The works have been purposely scheduled outside of the main beach season to minimise disruption.

Thank you for your patience while these important repairs are completed.
