We are incredibly proud of our Brewing Production Operations & Sales Planning Manager Will Hartley, who completed the London Marathon at the weekend in an outstanding 3 hours and 9 minutes. After clocking up more than 800 miles of training, Will has already raised over £3,000 for our charity of the year, Children's Hospice South West

Reflecting on the experience, Will said: “Running the London Marathon was genuinely the fulfilment of so many dreams. I’ve watched my dad, friends and family take part over the years, and as a lifelong runner I’d always hoped I’d get my chance. Words don’t really do it justice. Raising money for CHSW made it even more special – the team were incredible and seeing them on Tower Bridge was a moment of pure joy and euphoria.”

Will set off aiming for a sub‑three-hour finish and felt strong early on, but at miles 17-18 he hit the wall and had to dig deep for the final stretch.

“For the next hour, the support carried me - thinking of my visit to the Charlton Farm hospice, the donations and messages, strangers shouting ‘Go on Will’, my family waiting with less than a mile to go, and the incredible support from my wife Emily, who has been juggling two young children while caring for her dad, who has Alzheimer’s.”

Crossing the line in 3:09:43, Will described feeling “completely emptied but incredibly proud”.

“It was hugely humbling to be part of something so special, and a real honour to raise money for such an amazing cause.”

There’s still time to donate and congratulate Will on an extraordinary achievement: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/willhartleylondonmarathon2026
