As we approach our ‘Crafnanthousiversary’ this month it is lovely to reflect on the history of our ‘grand old lady’ and share these old pictures featuring the house and the village in the past! 🕰️

With recently repainted to mirror its own history you can stand in the street now and Trefriw doesn’t look that much different to a hundred years ago!

I love seeing the people in these pictures too - you wonder who they were, what they were doing, and what stories they could tell.

We are of course just the latest custodians to look after Crafnant House - maybe somebody else will be putting out a similar post in 50 years time! ☺️

HEATWAVE WEEK photo dump!!! 🥵☀️♨️

Wow what a scorcher!!! Suppose if you have to be anywhere when the weather is like this then our little corner of North Wales is not a bad place to be 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

And ALL of our fab guests stayed for four nights this week to enjoy the beautiful weather - they must have known!!! 😍

Survival efforts have included:

☂️ - shady spots all around the garden
🏊🏻‍♀️ - regular dips for both humans and dogs!
🥗 - an alfresco Med-inspired dinner with some lovely guests
🪭 - fans in rooms!!!
🍺 - cold beer …

Hope everybody has got to enjoy it! ☀️

Well May is flying by!!!

The weather - well let’s not talk about that ☀️💨☔️

Lovely guests though, and we’ve had time for a few afternoons out to places like Conwy ☺️

The rest of May is looking super busy but we still have availability throughout June if you fancy your Wales fix 😉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

So remember our old bath from our winter bathroom renovations? 🛁

Well we couldn’t face taking it to the tip for it to sit in landfill forever so we’ve sprayed it yellow (of course!), filled it with compost and hopefully over the summer the wild flower seed bombs will bloom and we’ll have a lovely bee-friendly bath!!!

Such a good meal at The Old Ship Trefriw last night! 😍

We tried:

• Thai vegetable spring rolls to share
• Fillet of salmon
• Crispy buttermilk chicken burger
• Baileys cheesecake
• Vanilla pod creme brûlée

With a few pints of Purple Moose Brewery/Bragdy Mŵs Piws Elderflower Ale 🍺

So why not have a foodie break in Trefriw! 🤔😋
