July at The Green
First and foremost we are a luxury bed and breakfast hotel, but occasionally we host small events. This month we had the pleasure of looking after a small group celebrating a wedding anniversary. Our guests of honour were married during the pandemic, 5 years later they decided to gather together their families who were not able to attend the ceremony at the time to celebrate. It was a very special day with delightful guests, a joy to host.
Despite being the driest summer I can remember, our garden is doing surprisingly well due to the large amount of rain we had earlier in the year. The grass is a little crispy I will admit but the Dahlias we are trialing for the cut flower beds are looking magnificent.
1-2. An incredibly tasty selection of cheese from , an alternative cheese wedding cake.
3 The dinning room dressed up to the nines. For the first time we were able to supply enough flowers for the event all from kitchen garden cutting beds.
4-5. The delicious buffet prepared and served by What a team, it was an absolute pleasure working with them. Many thanks Sian & James for doing such a fantastic job.
6-7. The morning room and dining room ready for our guests.
8-9. One of the dahlias we are trialing. So far so good.
10-11. A couple of new varieties of sunflower to keep our bumble bees happy.
We hope you have had a wonderful July too.
