Back from lovely family wedding in countryside close to historic Bridgenorth. Opportunity for some more castle bagging, although not much left of Bridgenorth castle thanks to Cromwell. Loads of history and pretty architecture. Something special about towns with rivers flowing through them. Very different to the tidal ebb and flow of St Mawes!

Meanwhile Gull Cottage has undergone its own amateur Chelsea Chop. The yoga lawn awaits our daughter and her friends! Our son and his friends never stopping running, swimming and eating healthy food !! Can you imagine one village with 3 such lovely beaches!! The view is ridiculous from Gull Cottage and continues to take people’s breath away. It remains our sanctuary from all the other stuff going on and we never take it for granted. And we hope our guests feel the same !!

Never a dull day on the Roseland! Sociable Lapwing spotted in marshes by Ruan Lanihorne. Twitchers have come from London and far away to see critically endangered bird that has veered miles off course!! Lovely bunch of very keen ornithologists who let us use their enormous telescopes and share their joy !!!
