Olga Polizzi's hotel on the Cornish Coast Tresanton is a cluster of houses on the edge of St Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall.

Originally created as a yachtsmen’s club, in 1997 Olga Polizzi bought Tresanton and spent two years completely redesigning and restoring it. All rooms have stunning views across the sea towards St Anthony’s lighthouse. In addition to 30 rooms the hotel has a restaurant, bar, sitting room, cinema, playroom, children’s garden and a private yacht.

Tresanton is lighting the BBQ for the final Beach Club Supper of the season on Thursday, 10 September. The menu features BBQ beef brisket, slaw, sweet chili jam, flatbread and rocket salsa, followed by chocolate brownie with clotted cream. The price is £30. On Sunday, 27 September, join Olga Polizzi for a tour of the terraced hillside garden at Tresanton as it tumbles down to meet the sea. The tour will be held in the company of Jon James, the original garden designer, and Marion Parish, its current custodian. After the tour, you are invited to join Olga for dinner, where she will reminisce about creating the garden from a sea of brambles 30 years ago. The following morning, there will be an opportunity to tour Lamorran, the Italianate gardens, located on the hillside above Tresanton. Rates start from £585 and include one night’s accommodation with breakfast, A welcome drink and dinner with Olga Polizzi. A guided tour of Tresanton and Lamorran Garden. Join Alex Polizzi for a two-night Ramblers Retreat at Hotel Tresanton. On Tuesday 6 October, Alex will lead a circular walk to St Just in Roseland Church before hosting a group dinner that evening. The following morning, Alex will lead a full-day walk along the South West Coast Path to the Standard Inn in Portscatho for lunch, before returning to the hotel via the Place Ferry. Ramblers Retreat with is Tuesday 6-Thursday 8 October.
