Hotel Tresanton Olga Polizzi's hotel on the Cornish Coast Tresanton is a cluster of houses on the edge of St Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall.

Originally created as a yachtsmen’s club, in 1997 Olga Polizzi bought Tresanton and spent two years completely redesigning and restoring it. All rooms have stunning views across the sea towards St Anthony’s lighthouse. In addition to 30 rooms the hotel has a restaurant, bar, sitting room, cinema, playroom, children’s garden and a private yacht.

Today’s Spain in w**e terms boasts a heady mix of traditional and modern vinous gems, whether that be Rioja and Sherry on the one hand or Albarino and higher elevation Garnacha on the other. What all these w**es still have in common is the ability to match beautifully with country’s vibrant cuisine. For this dinner, hosted by Phil Weeks, we shall showcase that suitability with w**es that will span the old and new from producers who are embracing Spain’s golden era. This Sunday, join Olga Polizzi for a tour of the terraces at Tresanton in the company of Jon James, the talented landscape designer that brought the early garden to life from a sea of brambles. Our current hotel gardener, Marion Parish, will be on hand to bring the story up to the present day. After the tour, you are invited to join Olga for dinner. The evening is £115 including drinks on the Beach Club, dinner and half a bottle of w**e. Each guest will receive an envelope of seeds collected from our garden and a beautifully illustrated map. On Sunday, 27 September, join Olga Polizzi for a tour of the terraces at Tresanton as they tumble down to meet the sea. The tour will be held in the company of Jon James. A talented landscape designer, Jon progressed from overseeing Cornwall’s Parks and Green Spaces to managing Bristol’s Natural and Marine Environment. Jon says: ‘developing the gardens at Hotel Tresanton has been one of the highlights of my career, as it gave me the opportunity to work with people who have equal passion and imagination to bring something amazing to life’.

Marion Parish, the current hotel gardener, will be on hand to bring the story of our garden up to the present day.

After the tour, you are invited to join Olga for dinner, where she will reminisce about creating the garden from a sea of brambles 30 years ago. Dinner is £115 including a welcome drink, dinner and half a bottle of w**e. Each guest will receive an envelope of seeds collected from our garden and a beautifully illustrated map.
