There’s nothing that lifts you out of Winter quite like wandering around a Cornish garden at spring time.

I can’t tell you which camellia is which - I can barely keep track of the plants in my garden! Suffice to say the magnificent yellow rhododendron is macabeanum from and the deep pink magnolia is spectrum (maybe!)

You’ll just have to come and visit and find out for yourself but I can absolutely guarantee it will be worth it.

Funny to think that there’s particles up there, energised by the sun, travelling up to 45 million mph, entering the Earth’s atmosphere and colliding with gas particles, generating these specific colours. The red colours are around 200 miles away! 👨🏻‍🎓 📚 💫

A beautiful, still sunset tonight, light in the sky at 5.15pm. Quite a change from this time last week as storm Goretti started to wreak havoc across much of Cornwall. It’s only now, as we venture further afield, we see the effort by so many with chainsaws, tractors and diggers who took it upon themselves to clear the roads of so many trees, collapsed banks, walls and debris. Not for kudos, or because they were asked just because they knew that life had to get back to normal. Thank you.
