We all know Cornwall is popular, but one town has officially been voted one of Britain's best places to staycation this year 😎

St Ives once again has taken the top spot 🥇

The annual staycation report, based on a survey of 2,000 adults revealed Bourton-on-the-Water and Salcombe have risen in popularity while other seaside destinations also saw shifts in the rankings.

Brighton overtook Lyme Regis after climbing to sixth place, ahead of the Dorset town, which has moved from fifth last year to seventh.

The research, commissioned by Sykes Holiday Cottages, also found that 28 per cent of adults are more likely to take a holiday on home soil this year than in 2025.

Every year we hear people say that Cornwall’s roads are terrible… 😅

But the reality is, most of our roads are exactly as they’ve always been – winding through ancient hedgerows, tucked between fields, and built long before anyone imagined SUVs, motorhomes and sat navs! 🚗🌿
