Sandcastle competition
Saturday 29th August, promptly starting at 11.30am on Tatums following the children's races.

You will have 1 hour only to create your masterpiece. False starts will be disqualified!

Props must be limited to items you can find on the beach.

1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

- Kids only
- Best traditional sandcastle
- Best sculpture

There will be plenty of food options to keep you fuelled throughout the weekend:

The Plume Of Feathers Portscatho will be serving their normal takeaway menu plus Dirty Dog Fries on Friday, Pulled BBQ Pork and Remalade baps on Saturday and Pulled beef baps with caramelised onion and horseradish mayo on Sunday.

Tide & Thyme Cornwall will be serving breakfast daily between 8.30 and 11.30 am, Pizza on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 5-9pm and Fish and Chips on Sunday 4pm - 8.30pm.

On Saturday The Boathouse Portscatho will be serving takeaway breakfast rolls and tea and coffee from 10-11.30am, then from 12 - 9pm takeaway fish and chips, scampi and chips, burger and chips or halloumi burger and chips with a range of drinks available.
(normal opening on Friday and Sunday)

There will be hotdogs and pulled pork baps by the Fisherman’s Shelter on Friday evening whilst the children are being entertained by Mrs Whistler Party Time. Candyfloss available from 'Fluffy Sweets and Eats'.

On the Lugger on Saturday the Regatta team will be doing a BBQ (including vegetarian options) from 12pm and there will be teas and cakes available from the Fisherman's shelter at 1pm. Pendower Farm Shop will have a stall selling crab rolls, lobster rolls and prawn rolls, and sweet crepes will be available from 'Fluffy Sweets and Eats'.

The Harbour Club, Portscatho will also have a BBQ on the balcony during the afternoon.

With less than two weeks to go, preparations are in full swing for the Regatta weekend.

As always there will be lots of games, stalls, music and refreshments on the Lugger between 1pm and 4pm on the Saturday. We will be running tombola tables for adults and children and we need your generous donations. We’d be grateful for any unwanted gifts, wine or non-perishable items, but please make sure they are in good new condition!

Please drop off items to 15 Springfield, Portscatho by Sunday 23rd August and let us know if you have difficulty with this and we will try to come and collect from you.

If you can help by providing cakes or bakes, please drop them down to the Fisherman’s Shelter on the morning of Saturday 29th August from 11am. To make sure we don’t end up with lots of the same thing it would be really helpful if you could send us a message to let us know what you’re planning to make.
