☀️🌊 BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND and Cornwall has a little secret…

While everyone is busy squeezing the last bit out of summer, Cornwall is quietly getting ready for one of its best times of year 🍂

September can be a bit of a hidden gem here. The sea is still warm from summer, the days can be beautifully sunny and the big summer crowds start to disappear. You might even find yourself on a beach wondering where everyone has gone! 😍

And then there’s the light… Cornwall in early autumn has that gorgeous golden glow that makes even an ordinary evening look like someone has turned the saturation up.

Meanwhile, at Primrose Farm Holidays, the goats have absolutely no idea it’s Bank Holiday weekend. They’re just waiting for someone to bring them dinner 😂🐐

So here’s to one last big summer weekend… and to the beautiful season waiting just around the corner.

Sunday thoughts from Primrose Farm Holidays, TR4 8PJ …

If goats 🐐 could have a job title, ours would definitely be Head of Guest Relations 😂

Nina, Ruby, Star, Olive and Little Beth take their responsibilities very seriously, especially when it comes to meeting guests, posing for attention and checking whether anyone happens to have a spare carrot 🥕

They’re basically the farm’s unofficial welcome committee… although we’re still waiting for them to learn how to make coffee 🫣

🎱 WEEKEND BINGO NIGHT! 🎱

Well… yesterday evening got a little competitive! Lots of our guests joined us for our weekend Bingo Night and it was such a good laugh. There was plenty of shouting, cheering, very serious concentration over those bingo cards… and the occasional “I’m sure I’ve got that number!” 😂

For a little while, nobody cared about the weather, tomorrow’s plans or what time they had to get up, it was all about getting those numbers!

And honestly, seeing so many of our guests sitting together, laughing, chatting and joining in is exactly what makes evenings like this so much fun.

Huge congratulations to our winners… and commiserations to everyone who was “one number away” for what felt like the entire night! 🤣
Thank you to everyone who came along and made our weekend Bingo Night such a brilliant evening. 🥰

Now the big question… when are we doing the next one? 🎱

Something extraordinary is happening above the UK tonight…

A spectacular solar eclipse is sweeping across the country and here in Cornwall, we’ll be among the very first to see the Moon begin its journey across the Sun!

🌒 6:18pm — It begins
🌑 7:15pm — WOW moment… around 95% of the Sun covered! 🤯
🌅 8:10pm — The show ends

For a little while, daylight will feel different as the Sun transforms into a breathtaking crescent.

Now the BIG question… 👀

Some friendships last a season. Others become part of your story.

At Primrose Farm Holidays, TR4 8PJ, we’ve been lucky enough to watch friendships grow from neighbours pitching up for a weekend into lifelong traditions, annual reunions and people who now feel more like family.

Today, we’re celebrating Kevin’s birthday and this wonderful group once again proved that the best memories aren’t made by spending lots of money. This year’s birthday challenge? Finding each other the perfect dinner outfit from the local charity shops. The laughter was priceless… and we think they absolutely smashed it! 😂

It’s moments like these that make this place so special. Not just the beautiful surroundings, but the people who fill them with laughter, kindness and memories that last long after the tents come down.

Happy Birthday Kevin! Here’s to another year of friendship, fun and traditions that just keep getting better. ❤️🥳

Only 24 minutes on the clock and this already feels like a 90-minute heart attack! 😅

Crunching tackles. Shirt pulling. Hair pulling. End-to-end action. The tension is unreal and every England fan is probably sitting on the edge of their seat right now! 🤯

The players have had a hydration break… but we’re convinced the fans needed one even more! 💦🍺
