The Alverton is a four silver star hotel, bar and brasserie with private gardens situated right at the heart of the beautiful Cathedral City of Truro, Cornwall. Stood on its hillside setting since 1880 within the Cornish city of Truro it was a convent for many years and has now been converted in to a country house hotel within walking distance of the cities amenities. entially English Grade II listed building it boasts arched Mullioned windows, Delabole slate roof and high sandstone walls, and is perfect for exploring the north and south coasts which are only a short drive away.

Each hotel has its own character, history and sense of place, but they’re brought together by the things that matter most to us - heartful hospitality, a love for Cornwall, and a commitment to looking after these special places for generations to come.

One of our favourite things about being based in Truro is having the vibrant Truro Farmers Market right on our doorstep every Wednesday and Saturday (9am – 4pm) on Lemon Quay. 🌾
