About time ....now France??

For years, people force‑fed ducks and geese to make a luxury food. Now Germany is leaving that practice behind, and many feel relieved.

Germany has officially banned the production of foie gras. Foie gras comes from force‑feeding ducks and geese, a process widely criticised for causing pain, fear, and severe distress.

Animal welfare advocates say this method leads to serious health problems, enlarged livers, breathing issues, and suffering no animal should face. For years, protection groups have called for laws based on basic compassion, not tradition.

Germany’s decision shows traditions can change when we put kindness first. Supporters say it sends a clear message: cruelty should not be part of what we eat. They hope other countries will follow and move away from products built on suffering.

No animal should suffer for something we do not truly need.
