We’re delighted to have been awarded Gold in the Hotel Restaurant category at the Food Drink Devon Awards 2026/27!
This award celebrates everything we believe in, exceptional food, quality local ingredients, sustainability and knowing where our produce comes from. From our own grass-fed beef and nose-to-tail approach to our wonderful Dartmoor and Devon producers.
A huge well done to our kitchen and restaurant team for the passion and hard work that make this possible, and thank you to Food, Drink Devon for this wonderful recognition.

WE ARE HIRING | HOTEL RECEPTIONIST
We are looking for a friendly, welcoming and professional person to join our reception team at our busy country hotel in the heart of Dartmoor.
As the first point of contact in person and on the telephone, your role will include taking enquiries and reservations, welcoming and checking in guests, and ensuring their stay gets off to the very best start. You will also carry out daily reception administration and work closely with our management and events teams, helping each shift run smoothly and ensuring our guests receive a warm and attentive service.
A positive attitude, warm personality and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality are essential. Previous reception or hospitality experience is desirable, although full training will be provided.

Shifts include evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is essential and due to our remote Dartmoor location, your own transport is essential.
Full or Part Time | 24–40 hours per week | Flexibility | Own Transport

An Evening of Dartmoor Memories with Tich Scott

Meet Tich, who’ll be joining us at the Two Bridges Hotel on Monday 7th September 2026 on the eve of Dartmoor’s iconic Widecombe Fair.
Tich will be sharing his memories of rural Dartmoor in a special illustrated talk, bringing to life the people, places and traditions of the Moor in the beautiful surroundings of our Fountain Room.
Tickets are ÂŁ10 per person, with 50% of the proceeds donated to Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team.
Tickets are selling quickly, so early booking is recommended. Book online or call us on 01822 892300 to reserve your place.

The bar will be open as usual throughout the evening, and we’ll also be serving a special two-course pre-talk Widecombe Fair Supper. Supper places are limited, so please give us a call to reserve your table.

A wonderful evening of Dartmoor stories and memories, on the eve of one of the Moor’s best-loved traditions.
