A week (ish) in photos…
Sunday - Ben More #50
Monday - attempting to scramble up Creise but it was wet and greasy so I chickened out of lots of the tricky stuff. Got a nice coffee at the ski resort for the way home though 😁
Wednesday - a wee trip to the climbing wall in Callander to remind me that I’m really not great at climbing…
Thursday - Carn Bhac and it’s top from Braemar searching for good weather.
Friday - Bynack More tops, second attempt this year 👍
Saturday - out in the Gorms with Atlas Mountaineering
Sunday - Ben Starav tops in Glen Etive
Monday - Pink Rib scramble in Glencoe
Glad to be back at work today, having time off is exhausting 😂

Making hay while the sun shines; off to Kintail for a quick Munro top this lunchtime.
It’s the Scottish 6 days trial starting with the pre 65’s tomorrow so there will be less mountains from me and more bikes from him for a while 😊

The West Highland Way is certainly delivering this week.
Beautiful blue skies and dare I say it, almost too hot for some of our guests! Who would think it for Scotland eh?
A quick hop on the 10am Ember to Glencoe yesterday for a sweaty jog home.

Ahhhh, Ben More, it’s been too long…💚

Beinn Lutharn Bheag.
Last hurrah before the season fully smacks us in the face.
ALL of the weather in a day but what a beautiful place… I’d forgotten there was a loch up there, it came as a lovely surprise.

The season is fast approaching so a last minute dash up North yesterday making the most of the fab weather.
Three Munro’s and 4 tops North of Loch Cluanie. (The tops add about 3.5km and 600m ascent to the Walkhighlands route).
Really quite windy and still patches of snow about so I was glad I’d taken microspikes and ice axe.
Cracking views of the South Glen Shiel Ridge and all together a great day out.

Up and at it early today to get over to Aviemore to tick off a couple of tops on Bynack More. Beautiful skies and clear paths underfoot until 850m then very icy from then on. The wind was pretty spicy so I decided to bin the two tops for another day. I’m already looking forward to them now I remember how runnable this Munro is. It will be a belter of a day out in spring without the big boots, ice axe and crampons!
I might not have achieved what I set out to do today but I’ve had a fab time ‘failing’ and have it all to look forward to again.
Andy meanwhile has been watching the rugby, another day that didn’t go to plan also. 🙁
