As this year comes to a very busy end, we just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This year hasn’t always been easy, but it has been meaningful, and we truly couldn’t have done it without the love, support and belief of the people around us. To every guest who chose to stay with us, who came back, shared kind words or quietly championed us, thank you. Your support has carried us more than you’ll ever know.

To our small team, and especially to Georgia — our incredible head housekeeper — thank you for the care, pride and heart you pour into this place every single day. Laurel House wouldn’t be what she is without you.

We end this year feeling grateful, humbled and hopeful. Grateful for the people who believed in us, humbled by the kindness we’ve been shown, and hopeful for what lies ahead. This little hotel means so much to us, and we feel incredibly lucky to share her with you.

Tynemouth has been voted the best place to propose in the UK ❤️ - and although we might be a little biased, we completely agree!

We were lucky enough to experience our very first proposal here at Laurel House back in October. The groom-to-be reached out and asked us to help him create the perfect moment.

While the happy couple were strolling along the stunning Longsands Beach, he got down on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring… and she said yes! 💍✨

Meanwhile, our team prepared champagne on ice and a personalised card, ready and waiting for them in their lovely sea-view room. A magical ending to a moment they’ll remember forever.

It was so lovely photographing Laurel House Tynemouth. It used to the annex for The Grand Hotel, but now is privately owned by Louise & Steve who run a stunning Airbnb holiday home currently has 6 bedrooms, 3 at the front with seaviews. It really is lovely, great for individual family stays or large groups.

Perfect setting right across the road from the beach, and has private parking for a couple of cars at the front. I love it!

Only one room left this weekend ☀️Its going to a scorcher in Tynemouth, come and soak up the sun on Longsands and maybe enjoy a cocktail or two!
