Last weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the most gorgeous couple as they celebrated their wedding. ❤️

They stayed with us the night before and the night of their special day, and it was such an honour to play a small part in their real-life fairytale.

We couldn’t resist adding a few special touches to help make their stay even more magical, and seeing their happiness made it all worthwhile.

To the happy couple, thank you for letting us be a tiny part of such a beautiful chapter in your story. We wish you a lifetime filled with love, laughter, happiness, and unforgettable memories together. 💍✨

Casual contract - hours vary week to week, weekend work included.

Working day hours are between 11-4.

This year hasn’t always been easy, but it has been meaningful, and we truly couldn’t have done it without the love, support and belief of the people around us. To every guest who chose to stay with us, who came back, shared kind words or quietly championed us, thank you. Your support has carried us more than you’ll ever know.

To our small team, and especially to Georgia — our incredible head housekeeper — thank you for the care, pride and heart you pour into this place every single day. Laurel House wouldn’t be what she is without you.

We end this year feeling grateful, humbled and hopeful. Grateful for the people who believed in us, humbled by the kindness we’ve been shown, and hopeful for what lies ahead. This little hotel means so much to us, and we feel incredibly lucky to share her with you.

Tynemouth has been voted the best place to propose in the UK ❤️ - and although we might be a little biased, we completely agree!

We were lucky enough to experience our very first proposal here at Laurel House back in October. The groom-to-be reached out and asked us to help him create the perfect moment.

While the happy couple were strolling along the stunning Longsands Beach, he got down on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring… and she said yes! 💍✨

Meanwhile, our team prepared champagne on ice and a personalised card, ready and waiting for them in their lovely sea-view room. A magical ending to a moment they’ll remember forever.
