We have been delighted to see Cornwall taking the center stage at the moment for the at Carbis Bay, Newquay. Yesterday G7 leaders gathered with senior members of the Royal Family led by The Queen to enjoy a special reception at Eden Project which is around a 15 minute drive from Lavender View B&B and well worth a visit.

We had a lovely review from Sheila who stayed at Lavender View to visit family in the area.
"We were delighted with our accommodation at Lavender View. There was everything for a comfortable stay to hand. The room was spotlessly clean as was the spacious bathroom. The garden and view was a delight as was the area. Carol was very helpful - a very nice lady.

We are looking forward to reopening tomorrow and already have 3 bookings for next week 😊. Our cosy self contained B&B has lots of availability for that much anticipated trip to Cornwall!
This video shows Easter Sunday 2021 at beautiful Polkerris beach which we highly recommend visiting. You can walk here along the coastal path or drive and brave the steep hill! Be sure to enjoy that glistening sun and some delicious food and drink from Sam's on the Beach or The Rashleigh Inn, Polkerris and the watersports on offer Polkerris Beach.

There are free range eggs and then there are proper Cornish local, from the farm down the road, all different sizes, still covered in dirt, straight from the chickens and ducks eggs to celebrate Easter with some vintage 1950's cardboard eggs. 😊 Photographed at Lavender View. . 🐰🥚

An interesting part of Tywardreath's history linked to Daphne DuMaurier.

Daphne du Maurier’s Cousin Dora arrived in Tywardreath, just two miles from Menabilly, in December 1966. She was 88 and had decided to come and live near Daphne without even discussing it first. She lived for a further seven years, and was quite a challenge for Daphne! Tonight, shortly at 6.30pm Rick Stein will be sharing some of his highlights of beautiful and we will be watching! Rick Stein's Cornwall programs will be shown each night this week at 6.30pm and tomorrow will feature Mevagissey, one of the beautiful working fishing communities in Cornwall and a short drive from Tywardreath or can be reached from Fowey on the Mevagissey to Fowey Ferry.Travel through our beautiful county from your sofa while it's chilly outside and we very much hope to welcome visitors again in 2021.
