Just this. One full minute of the birdsong at ynysmaengwyn-a public trust owned park which has some beautiful old trees, rivers and the most amazing birds. It is in walkable distance from and also has a walled garden perfect for a picnic and you can continue along the river to the sea. Be careful not to disturb ground nesting birds close to the river and have a lovely Friday!

Exciting day today! Taid arrived with the digger to start the foundations for our oak frame. Lots of slate came out, which we think will level some of the walkways but unfortunately a lot of the services have to be moved. There’s no better man for the job than and we look forward to welcoming soon. Follow the install here!

Epic day out at Cregannen and onto a road I’d never been on before. If you’re thinking of Snowdon, do this beautiful hike too and I’m sure you’ll love it!

Aberdyfi is a little bit packed today for the Dafad Coch races. The first year of this wonderful event raising funds for charities. Amazing work you guys!! Idris did us proud in the ‘a few screws loose’ laser sailing boat design put together by (aka Dad) Harry his engineer colleague and Ian from Aberdovey Maintenance.

Yay! Happy Friday everyone! We have a little suggestion as to a plan for a Friday stay here…it involves a lovely session with those beautiful estuary views, then on to Aberdyfi for food and drinks, a short drive to the cottage (link in bio) for a log fire and massage with Katy your host who is qualified in sumptuous caring touch and perhaps a little stargazing from your log fired hot tub to follow? Or you could see some live music in the best cinema in the UK . They have a Welsh artist playing tonight. We have availability some weekends this spring. Drop me a line if you like the look of this Friday adventure.

What a treat to be for the open mic with my son and daughter. This wonderful music venue has something on most Fridays, a wonderful selection of films, bar service and is a five minute drive from us. This evening we welcomed our German friend Geneva to the stage. Her songwriting is just out of this world.
