On gcse results day remind your children to check in on their friends who has gone quiet and make sure they are ok.

Not everyone gets the grades they wanted and it is a hard time for some children to cope and easy for them to feel lost in everyone celebrating.

There are always good alternatives and some dreams are all the sweeter for taking the longer route.

Functionally Skills is a viable alternative to GCSEs in English and maths and you don’t have to wait a whole year to give it a try.

Sometimes a holiday is not all about the kids, sometimes the adults need a project to achieve and feel relaxed.

This is a very special family who have glamped with us almost from the very beginning of leafy fields. Initially looking for an autism friendly holiday for their teens.

Well a friendship quickly grew and Dad really wanted to help with some active maintenance work during their holiday, not being a sit and relax chap.

So after almost a decade I now try to have at least one project ready to go for their stay. Family chill everyone has the activity or lack of activity they need and we are very appreciative of the help.

After much discussion over the years we finally got the materials together ready for this special holiday and now we have doggy steps into the private doggy garden on Fox safari lodge.

The steps are fantastic and their dogs were the first to enjoy the new access giving a much more relaxed doggy holiday.

Massive thank you to this special family 🤗
