The Fairy Glen
Here's a new take of one of the most popular places on Skye. I drive past this view every day and have always seen the potential for this shot. I've even stopped on a few occasions when the light has been almost right, but have never been totally satisfied - knowing there was more potential in the scene.
Yesterday when driving home from a morning's session with a visiting group of photographers from China, the scene finally looked how I've always wanted it to be - dark and moody, with the important parts being lit by a few delicate beams of sunlight. I hope you enjoy it.

Lag A’Mhuilinn, Cuil Road, Uig, Isle of Skye is a family run Bed & Breakfast. We offer a Double Room and a Twin Room, (max two people sharing per room) both have en-suite facilities. Our price per room is £120.00 which includes Full Scottish Breakfast, wi-fi, t.v., fridge, room refreshments, toiletries, hairdryer, and off road parking. Within walking distance of local bars, restaurants and shops. Great base for visiting the Fairy Glen, Quaraing, Museum of Island Life, Kilt Rock, Old Man of Storr Check in time is 4.oo pm onwards (if you are delayed and arriving very late please phone) Check-out time is 10.15 a.m. Sorry no pets. No takeaways on premises.
We are also part of the Rare Bird Conservation Society so apologies but we do not cut the grass at the bottom of the house and croft until the last of the birds and the chicks have flown off which could be end of July beginning of August. Hoping that will not spoil your visit with us.
BREAKFAST: Selection of Fruit Juices, Cereal, Fruit, Yoghurt..... Cooked - Sausage, Bacon, Black Pudding, Haggis, Egg, Tomato, Mushrooms, Beans (veg option on haggis and black pudding and sausages)...... Toast, Tea/Coffee.
