Glamping
Lake District wildlife glamping in Rusland.
This campsite is quite special.
Sorry no children or dogs.
What to do and why to glamp at Rusland. Your bell tent will be within 20 minutes of the Rusland national nature reserve.
The campsite is on 15 acres of land which has been rewilded for 18 years, no sheep or cattle. The wildflower meadows were seeded with native wildflower mixes and are grazed by the resident roe deer and the migratory red deer from the reserve.
I farm grasshoppers and bees and damsel flies
The stone circle is at an intersection of lay lines and is a neolithic calendar denoting the mid summer moon and the mid winter sun. It is home to spiritual festivals which have attracted a worldwide following.
within walking distance there are views looking down to Coniston water, wild swimming at high dam, the nature reserve and eateries at the Manor at Oxon Park and the Eagles Head at Satterthwaite.

The wheelbarrow is to move your essentials to your tents.
