📣 Tomorrow, the annual Jobs and Skills Fair returns to Barrow-in-Furness, hosted by Inspira for Life.

This flagship event brings together employers, education providers, and job seekers from across the region. With over 40 exhibitors showcasing live vacancies and post-16 opportunities, it’s a fantastic platform for meaningful connections, career inspiration, and access to training and employment pathways.

🌟 Our team from Westmorland and Furness Council will be there to highlight the wide range of career opportunities we offer, and our Apprenticeship Team will also deliver informative presentations throughout the day. 🌟

It was great to recognise some of our long serving members of the team this week! Also congratulations to Toby on winning Employee of the Quarter! 🎉

Celebrating milestones and performance . .

Ray, our Porter celebrates 25 years with us at Lakeside. When Ray started working with us back in 2000, the Nokia 3210 was one of the most popular mobile phones. .

Rob, our Kitchen Porter celebrates 15 years, another one of our Porters Andy, celebrates 10 years, Darren our maintenance manager celebrates 5 years with us (this is his second time around, as he worked for Lakeside for 14 years from 1997), Becci, our very talented pastry chef celebrates 5 years with us.

A huge thank you to Ray, Rob, Andy, Darren and Becci for your commitment to the hotel over the many years.

We are delighted to also recognise Toby as our employee of the quarter! Toby’s positive attitude, professionalism and teamwork is an inspiration to us all.
