The Barn, Penny Bridge We have an en-suite room available as a double or twin in our family home. Breakfast is relaxed: cer The bedroom has an 'extra king size' zip and link bed.

A former stables, The Barn is a stone and slate house around 400 years old. Parts of the house are still under renovation, but we have a lovely, peaceful room available for guests. The spacious en-suite bathroom has separate bath and walk-in shower. Therefore we can offer the room as a double, with king size bed, or as a twin, with two full-size single beds. Breakfast can be found and made in the

kitchen! We do not offer cooked breakfast, rather a 'help yourself' open kitchen with cereals, bread, croissants, fruit and the like always to hand. The Barn is ideally located for anyone wanting to explore the Lake District, especially the Western Lakes and Southern Lake District. Places of interest nearby include Coniston Water, Windermere, South Lakes Safari Zoo, The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Windermere Lakes Cruises, the festival town of Ulverston and Conishead Priory, home to Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre.
