There’s more to Otter Tarn than luxury lodges, hot tubs and beautiful views.

Farming is at the heart of our 500-acre estate. This was last week when we brought our Belted Galloway cows and calves came down from the fell for their immunisations and routine health checks, before heading back up to the open countryside.

It’s a side of Otter Tarn our guests love. Watching the cattle grazing around the estate is all part of experiencing life on a working Lake District farm.

One of our guests captured this incredible view from Toad Mire, our only completely lakefront lodge, with its own exclusive access to the lake.
