Currently house & dog sitting on Phillip Island in Victoria, having cooked Billie the dog some yummy food… wondering whether to start our own business doing this? Worth doing research for sure x

“ Liked: Well kept, tidy grounds. Brand new, super clean toilet and shower facilities. And, most importantly, friendly happy staff. Loved our stay here. Nice, quiet walk into Hay on Wye.

Disliked: Nothing, really. The road is a little noisy but we were quite close and it was easy to ignore. ”

A few recent Trust Pilot Reviews ! Our lovely Peter Kent & Paula Kent get a mention too, team work is everything to us. Hay-on-Wye Caravan Park

What a great find this place is. We were running very late due to the M5 but Lisa was amazing, told us where our plot was and even left a treat bag for us on our own picnic bench. This bag included a treat for our dog Bertie, a poo bag, biscuits, tea bags and all the instructions we needed, never had this before and it was a lovely touch.
The site is immaculate and would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed at the Pen Y Maes at Hay-on-Wye and it was a great experience from start to finish. We booked last minute and Lisa was lovely on the phone. When we turned up, there was a little welcome pack with a little treat specifically for our ‘senior’ dog Pepper and Lisa was lovely again. Full of local knowledge and genuinely nice to chat to. The site is simple, the toilet/shower block was well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is also an easy walk into the town. Lisa also recommended their other site in Morfa which we fully intend to look up on our way back.

A fabulous place to stay.
The quietest and cleanest campsite I have ever stayed at. An absolute joy to experience. Friendly and helpful hosts too. Can't recommend highly enough and will definitely return.

Perfect in every way
We stayed one night but instantly felt at home. We were made to feel so welcome - Paula and Peter were amazing and clearly go the extra mile to make sure everything is absolutely perfect. The facilities were spotless and the grounds were really well kept. The warm welcome was also extended to our puppy, Celt, who thoroughly enjoyed all the attention. The welcome pack dog treat was a lovely gesture. The walk into Hay took around 20mins and is ideal to work off the wide range of meals and ice creams available in a number of dog-friendly eateries. We will be back as this campsite is definitely one of the best we’ve stayed at.

A couple of recent reviews, from guests who stayed with us for the Hay on Wye Festival... :-)

Perfect stay for the Hay Festival
What a lovely site Hay-on-Way Caravan Park is. Relatively small, but perfectly managed. Having stayed at many Caravan and Motorhome Club sites across the UK, we're often disappointed at the lack of attention to detail, so it was incredibly refreshing to see how this site team makes the effort to ensure everything is to guests' satisfaction. The toilet blocks are spotless, the loos/showers offer soap, shampoo and conditioner, the planters are full of fresh herbs, and a little welcome kit (for both us and the dog) was a lovely touch. The scenery is beautiful but still offers easy access to the main road into Hay-on-Wye as well as a 10-minute walking route to the festival area. Rob and Lisa (and Boris) and their team were so cheery and helpful. We hope to come back!

Hay on Wye caravan park is GOAT site.
Hay on Wye caravan park is outstanding. From the warm friendly welcome, the exceptionally clean facilities to the quiet very green site. It is perfect for the Hay Festival. Lisa, Paula, Rob & Pete are friendly professional hosts. Nothing is too much. We have been caravaning for almost 40 years, it is our GOAT site! Can't wait until next year.
